EHR Vendor Selection and Installation Assistance
For O-HITEC members who do not have a certified electronic health record (EHR) installed, we will provide assistance in selecting a certified EHR from our pre-screened list of supported EHRs. Consulting services are also available.
Meaningful Use Evaluation and Certification
For O-HITEC members with a certified EHR installed, we will assess how you use your EHR and identify usage gaps between your EHR and the federal meaningful use criteria. The assessment will link you with O-HITEC products and services, and assist you with gaining meaningful use certification.
Web Based Training
For all O-HITEC members we will provide a range of training opportunities related to practice transformation, use of the EHR and required staff training such as HIPAA and OSHA.
Webinar Series
O-HITEC will provide regularly scheduled Webinars on practice transformation and meaningful use of the EHR. O-HITEC members will be able to enroll in Member’s Only Webinars designed to address issues critical to meeting meaningful use.
Quality Improvement Advisor Training
O-HITEC will provide a 14-day workshop to train quality improvement advisors for O-HITEC member organizations. This is the Institute for Health Improvement’s (IHI) Improvement Advisor training.
Learning Communities
O-HITEC will convene and facilitate collaborative efforts between O-HITEC members with similar EHR products and/or quality improvement interests to leverage knowledge and skills to improve care across organizations.
Benchmarking and Data Warehousing Services
O-HITEC will provide members the ability to compare performance within their own practice and between members to identify and monitor opportunities for improvement.
HIPAA Services
O-HITEC will provide members with a core set of HIPAA privacy and security policies that comply with the HIPAA and the HITECH regulation requirements. The members will also be provided with an information security risk assessment tool and checklist for the members to use to perform a self-assessment of their information security risks. OHITEC will provide a basic HIPAA training on-line course with a HIPAA training certificate provided to members who pass the course. Limited HIPAA consulting services will be included as part of the O-HITEC membership fee
Other Services
O-HITEC will provide members with negotiated group purchasing services for a variety of EHR and practice related products as well as discounted 3rd party solutions to help members achieve meaningful use and improve patient care.
